As for her father, he has been in and out of prison and never misses an opportunity to use his daughter for publicity. He even told the world on twitter that his daughter has aids!
With parents like these, it makes sense why she has had such trouble with addiction, obeying the law, and having a normal, stable life.
It has been proven that addiction runs in families and Lindsay is an en example. Her mother cintinued to go with Lindsay to clubs even after she was just released from rehab. Her dad is even worse because instead of helping his daughter get help privately, he runs to TV shows to get interviews. I can see why Lindsay struggles so much: she can't even trust her parents to do what is right for her.
